The finance app Finanzguru is expanding its lineup with a new feature called the Sparbooster. It lets users earn cashback at more than 70 brands, including Amazon, Rewe, Kaufland, Ikea, Zalando, H&M, Deutsche Bahn and Adidas. The feature is powered by a partnership with the Berlin-based infrastructure provider finperks.

How the Sparbooster works

Inside the Finanzguru app, customers pick a brand and buy credit with it. So-called Sparbooster points are then credited automatically. Once they reach a value of five euros, they can be paid out to the user's own bank account by real-time transfer. The app also suggests relevant brands and savings opportunities based on each user's personal spending. Subscribers to the paid Finanzguru Plus plan earn double cashback rewards.

Finanzguru bets on stronger customer loyalty

With the Sparbooster, Finanzguru wants to extend saving beyond contracts and insurance policies to everyday purchases. According to the company, users gain a direct financial benefit without having to actively hunt for discounts. Finanzguru says it now has more than three million users in Germany and sees the new rewards program as an important building block for long-term customer loyalty.
